Bolder thoughts and sky high aspirations, we are the new Agency Reporter
Agency Reporter was launched in June 2018 with an aim to become a single point of intelligence for Indian Advertising, Media, Marketing and Communication/PR professionals on latest industry news and views.
Since the very humble beginning, Agency Reporter has been able to capture attention of the community by doing several things in different ways. We launched an informal networking opportunity for digital media planners/buyers and brand marketers, called Panchayat which has seen 4 editions so far across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. We hosted a couple of breakfast roundtables as part of custom events for our clients. We made our mark by doing a series of long format, deep dive, meaningful industry stories. We have set examples by doing the best native articles in the industry
While we tried hard to be the best trade media alternative, we had our low moments.
We launched a monthly magazine called ‘The 2.0 Marketer’ which was very well received by the readers but couldn’t gather the advertising support it needed to survive. Basically, it was a bad time to start up. Towards the fag end of 2019, the market didn’t seem to be in favour, and we had to re-strategise a bit, and now for us things are getting back to normal, though not as normal as one would expect, due to onset of recession COVID19 has brought with itself. Finally, we have started to get recognition we once aspired for. We are thankful to the industry for lending us support for when we needed it the most.
This month marks our 2nd anniversary and we are really happy to
present our readers, a completely redesigned website, a new brand identity and a new editorial strategy which can be seen across the website. We are gradually moving to a social first approach where a lot of our content will appear on only or first on social media which will be more share-worthy and more visible. Website will continue to host more premium content for our readers.
This year we intend to double our social media community and substantially increase our website traffic. That will of course happen when our readers support us in our endeavours. You can start doing that by subscribing to our newsletters and follow our social pages. We have just started our Instagram journey. Our handle is @agency.reporter, please show us some love there. For our partners, we are creating custom opportunities to engage with the community on more meaningful ways.
