Publicis India asks Executive Creative Director Ishrath Nawaz to leave
Publicis India has terminated the services of Ishrath Nawaz, executive creative director, who has been called out for sexual misconduct under the ongoing #MeToo movement.
On October 5, Nawaz was accused of sexual harassment by a woman who was previously his colleague at a Mumbai-based firm.
In a tweet posted on 19 October, Publicis India stated that the investigation it had undertaken in relation to Ishrath Nawaz has been concluded. The statement read, “Mr. Nawaz’s conduct has been found to be violative of Publicis India’s policy. Consequently, Mr. Ishrath Nawaz’s services have been terminated.”
Nawaz joined Publicis in April last year. He joined the agency from McCann Worldwide and had previously worked with agencies such as Soho Square, Saatchi & Saatchi, FCB Ulka and Rediffusion Y&R.
