Ranjivjit Singh Resigns From Samsung India Even Amid Profits
After working with Samsung India for more than five years, Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, Mobile Business at the organization, has chosen to step down from the position.
Singh who launched Samsung ”Galaxy Fold” cell phone cum-tablet with 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage in India in October for Rs 1,64,999, is probably going to begin something on his own.
The move comes when Samsung India generated gross profits of Rs 73,000 crore in the year 2019, of which the Mobile business profits hit an unsurpassed high of Rs 43,000 crore.
Aditya Babbar, who used to report to Singh and holds the position of a director, will now independently handle mobile phone marketing function.
