Inventivepreneur Chamber of Commerce and Industries Webinar: International Women Equality Day 2020
Inventivepreneur Chamber of Commerce & Industries recently organized a webinar on the occasion of International Women Equality Day. The webinar was organized on 26 August 2020. The purpose of the virtual session was to discuss social issues about women’s equality in and around Asia.
This initiative was aimed at acquainting the society on the current situation of gender equality. Panelist Kiran Chopra from Punjab Kesari shared her strong views on fewer opportunities & lower-income, less control over resources for women in society compared to men. Another panelist Dr. Ritika Yadav from Inventivepreneur Chamber of Commerce and Industries shared view on a wider wage gap and non-equality among all genders. One of the prominent women leader Arshi Ayub Mohammad Zaveri who is based out of Dubai shared information on the U.A.E government’s initiative and laws to support Women Empowerment. Panellist Ekta Raman epigrammatically explained how the majority of men are acting as decision-maker and neglecting the rights and integrity of the opposite gender. Discussions around why women own fewer start-ups and businesses in comparison were talked through out.
Komal Puri shared her visionary views on the next generation of Women Leaders. Kiran Chopra didn’t shy to discuss the necessary measures required for women’s security in the corporate world. A social activist Satish Upadhyay from Delhi also participated in the program and conferred his strong view on women’s equality.
This International Women Equality Day 2020 is just a medium to make society aware of the serious issues women had been facing in respect to equal rights in the society and to strongly believe a new-age society is going to move ahead with equal opportunities worldwide and the knowledge shared by panelists will bring the attention to society of gaps.
