Sunil Nair’s Brand New innings as India CEO & MD Kicks off with Firework
Silicon Valley-based Firework appoints Sunil Nair as the CEO and MD for its India operations. The social mobile video app for iOS and Android devices has now entered India and is part of a suite of apps created by Loop Now Technologies, Inc. a Redwood City, California (Silicon Valley) based incubator start-up that focuses on next-gen consumer mobile applications.
Sunil had a very successful stint as the COO of Alt Balaji for over 4 years, where he was responsible for building India’s first pure-play original video content platform and creating a successful subscription led business and bringing real-world innovations to the OTT space in India.
Sunil is equipped with diversified experience from his stints in India. Nair set up the first online video distribution platform – Nautanki TV (acquired by Hungama). In his previous stints he has held leadership positions with One Channel Media, Reliance Jio, Star India Pvt Ltd, amongst others. Nair continues to be active in the start-up circle as an advisor and mentor. With a Master’s Degree in Management Sciences from the University of Pune, Sunil is a certified systems analyst from the National Computing Centre, UK.

Sunil is an avid storyteller and has several publishing credits with the latest being a series of Children’s books called Adventures of Taarakshi and Kaa.
