Sangbad Pratidin Digital Goes Pink To Celebrate #PinkBallTest

On Friday, November 22, 2019, Eden Gardens witnessed a historical phenomenon of Indian cricket. India and Bangladesh played the first-ever Day & Night Test Match in India at this stadium in Kolkata with the Pink ball.

Gripped with the cricket fever, the City of Joy started the countdown for the match. Many places of interest like, Shahid Minar, Kolkata Big Ben, Tata Centre are illuminated with Pink shade. Apart from these, several localities in Kolkata are dressed in Pink. Sourav Ganguly, newly elected BCCI President tweeted with multiple Pink shade images of various places in Kolkata.

Digital asset of Sangbad Pratidin, the third-largest Bengali vernacular daily is embellished with the pretty Pink to celebrate this historic Pink Ball Test. We wished to resonate with the Pink passion of the cricket fanatics of the city. The colour of the header, footer, headlines, body text etc in all the sections of this website has been changed to Pink.
