Auburn wins digital mandate for British tea brand, Typhoo
Auburn has been awarded the digital mandate for the Brand Typhoo for the Indian market. Typhoo is an over 100-year-old iconic British tea brand with a rich heritage going back to 1903.
Over the years, Typhoo has become one of the largest brands in the UK with over 11 brands and 200 varieties. Typhoo is part of the Apeejay Surrendra Group, one of India’s largest tea producers in India.
Commenting on the new mandate, Subrata Mukherji, Business Head, Typhoo India, said, ‘Auburn our digital agency has a deep understanding of the fmcg sector as well as current digital trends which is vital in the journey of the brand, to garner a significant share of visibility. As Typhoo brings many variants and offerings to the table, the communication needs to be nuanced and layered and tell the unique story of various products while still maintaining the main narrative of Typhoo. We feel Auburn is the apt agency to do the same.’
Harsh Kedia, Co-founder, Auburn, says, “Working with one of the reputed brands in the FMCG industry, is indeed quite fortunate as it not only helps us prove our mettle in the segment, but also proves to be a learning curve for our team. Typhoo is catering to an audience currently at a stage in evolution that is primed for social outreach. With our digital first approach and the aim to prepare for the future, we hope to do some very exciting and innovative work, not just in the social content space but also platform & media innovations.”
