Bloomingdale Public Relations to implement a new work schedule to promote better work-life balance
Bloomingdale Public Relations has made a progressive move towards ensuring a better work-life balance for its employees. The company will implement a new work schedule from March 1st 2023 that will require employees to report at or before 9am and wrap up their work day in the office by 4pm in the five day work week. They will pilot this for a month and if all goes as planned; it will be implemented formally from the new financial year – 1st April 2023. The firm recognizes the fact that because of the nature of their work, employees needn’t be chained to their desks. They can and should have the freedom to carry out their professional responsibilities while still devoting time to their own personal interests.
In metropolitan cities where traffic, crowded commutes and long wait-times add hours to the daily work routine of most office goers, maintaining a healthy personal-professional balance becomes a huge challenge. With this new schedule, employees at Bloomingdale PR can avoid the rush-hour traffic and crowds and have more personal time, while still putting in a productive day at work. The firm unequivocally believes that their operations and exemplary standards of client servicing will improve manifold with the new schedule. They will also continue to be available for their clients remotely outside of these hours in case of urgent professional requirements. Whether it’s added family time, gym time or the opportunity to pursue a hobby, the firm is trying to enrich the lives of its employees with the new 9.00 – 4.00 workday schedule. They also hope to encourage other organisations to implement flexible and conducive working patterns for their employees.
“At Bloomingdale PR, we’re aiming to build an empathic, inclusive culture where work is a part of our employees’ lives and not their whole lives. We care about the physical and mental well-being of our team, and want to support them better in this regard. I truly believe that healthy, happy employees are more productive and do better work. I am confident that this move will lead to a more focused work-week, improved morale and a more productive work culture in the long run” says Diana Fernandes, Founder and CEO, Bloomingdale Public Relations.
