A perfect balance between working smart and working hard and a proven asset to every organization he worked for, Dheeraj Chawla, Co-Founder of DNA Digital took some time out and answered a few of our questions.

You have worked and did some award-winning work for some of the largest brands in India, both on client side and agency side. And, now you have become an entrepreneur – how is that working out for you?

Well. Working with bigger brands on client side & heading a few agencies definitely gives you the experience but the real exposure comes in when businesses are built from the scratch, re-inventing the engine and considering all the aspects of business putting all the prime functions coming together, getting matured with business processes & target market to make a successful story. So far, it’s a challenge to drive a startup though but the fun part is to experience this journey. With all the hard struggles, every smaller milestone win gives the motivation to keep accelerating. Most important in a startup is to be aligned with the vision, serving customers with an edge of experience no matter the size. First few customers become your stepping stone who vouch for you through the relationship.


Tell us something about your new venture ‘DNA Digital Factory’, the name sounds interesting, what about the work? There are too many digital agencies out there doing similar work, what is it that you do better & differently?

DNA Digital Factory is a data-driven tech marketing venture which leverages the strength & capabilities of digital products. Intern such technology stack in-house & strategy help us Win over customers expectations, Provide the right results through realistic data which Global Business are able to envisage & take key Marketing decisions on ROI & next investments around their marketing & other strategies.


What is your current client portfolio like and what do you do for them?

We largely work within niche verticals especially Retail, Aviation & FMCG, through our customers’ B2B2C centric approach, we have packed our offerings based on their priorities. For aviation & education, we have been able to help them get the end customers engaged, generate new leads, improve brand visibility. All this we could do with the help of our in-house experienced Consultants carrying the Domain & Technology stack utilization. We use best class Technology products like Salesforce.com for Sales & marketing campaigns for our customers, Heroku & other web technologies for customer end apps, Marketing professionals to help craft content, designs that reflect a brands vision & visibility.

It’s been little more than a year since you started up, how does your pipeline look like and what in the coming months will ensure that you emerge as a key player in the industry?

We started a little over a year but our foundation was laid strong being backed up by Strategic Investors & founding team way before. Our pipeline looks impressive for the year 2018-19 with sales pipeline of Half a Million Dollars & Top Line already touching a Quarter Million USD. We are expanding our legs by acquiring more customers globally & also investing in them through our Managed Service Model.


We checked out your LinkedIn profile and found that a lot of people who gave you recommendations quoted that you have been a great asset – in your opinion what did you do differently to earn that tag?

Customers appreciations & vouching for us is what we have always strived for. When you are just a startup & trying to build, good word of mouth is our biggest asset to any New Venture. We understood our customer’s requirements, expectations & delivered the results at par. We brought in Automation & AI to our forte which eventually helped us understand our customers behaviour aspect & what does actually work for them. Their success is our growth & such vision is laid very strongly in DNA Digitals Culture.

What message would you like to give to your fellow industry mates who are deciding whether to take the entrepreneurial plunge or not?

Keep Trying, build your niche, don’t be afraid to try something new, don’t get yourself distracted from the vision you took when starting up & of course, learn from mistakes & Fix the problem immediately. Customer Focus, Employee Satisfaction should be the mantra.
