Exclusive: Gyan Gupta Moves On from DB Corp

It was in June 2018 that DB Corp announced major changes in its digital business division DB Digital and split the division into two segments namely Content and a new video app venture platform (FirstWall).

Gyan Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of FirstWall, the video app venture of DB Corp Limited (DBCL), is moving on from the group. Gupta, who has spent a decade in the company, has announced his move on LinkedIn.

It was in June 2018 that DB Corp announced major changes in its digital business division DB Digital and split the division into two segments namely Content and a new video app venture platform (FirstWall). While the group websites operated under the Content division, DB Corp had set up a new video app venture platform of the group, which was headed by Gyan Gupta.

Prior to FirstWall, Gupta was the CEO of DB Digital, the digital arm of DB Corp, the media company home to flagship newspapers – Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, Divya Marathi and Saurashtra Samachar.

Gupta has played an instrumental role in conceptualising multiple unique features and properties and introducing path-breaking initiatives for the brand. Gupta has also donned multiple leadership roles in the past three years ranging from business head to COO and CEO.
