SonyLIV service has tied up with tech start-up CloudWalker, to offer its content library on the latter’s Smart TV devices. Starting this October, a wide variety of movies, TV shows, originals, Live TV and more from the repertoire of SonyLIV will be available on a range of CloudWalker Smart TV’s redefining big screen entertainment for Indian families.
Valued at $0.5 billion, India’s digital industry is currently brimming with growth. According to a May report by Google, India’s online video audience is expected to touch 500 million by 2020. In addition to mobile devices, the latest entrant to accelerate this growth has been internet-enabled TV’s. With pre-installed apps, these devices are not only earning revenue for Smart TV brands but also diversifying content offerings for OTT players.
