Viacom18 Adjudged Creative Company of the Year, Takes home 7 Metals
With more than 1200 entries and 13 categories under metals, day 3 of Goafest 2019 showcased and celebrated excellent craft. Sans a Grand Prix this year, the Creative Abby Awards were divided amongst Creative Company of the Year, Digital Specialist AOY, Video Craft Specialist of the Year and Branded Content & Entertainment Specialist AOY.
At Goafest 2019, Viacom18 Media Pvt. Ltd. swept away the ‘Creative Company of the Year’ title. It bagged 1 gold, and 3 silver and bronze metals each, by scoring a total of 36 points.
Ferzad Palia, Head – Youth, Music and English Entertainment, Viacom18 said: “At MTV, we have always believed in the power of content that is creative, inspiring and engaging. Over the last 20 years, MTV has set the benchmark with creative content that appeals to the youth through advertising, branded content and digital media. The ABBY Awards are the hallmark of recognition for creativity in India and it is inspiring and encouraging to be recognized as the Creative Company of the Year by such a grand master jury.”
The agency that topped the ‘Digital Specialist AOY category’ was Dentsu Webchutney with 3 golds, 4 silvers and 9 bronze metals, making a total of 84 points. Commenting on his win, Ashish Bhasin, CEO, DAN Grater South and Chairman and CEO of India says, “It is a culmination of years. Of course the success depends on good campaigns. But, we try and strengthen ourselves each year.”
‘Hungry Films’ stands out as the ‘Video Craft Specialist of the Year’ with 3 golds and 2 bronze in its kitty, making a total of 32 points.
Cheil India left with 2 gold and 2 silver metals under Branded Content & Entertainment Specialist AOY.
